About Leslie

[informal version, friendly and casual]

 

I am a creative person who really enjoys the creative process, and who likes working the ideas as well as the problems. When everything comes together in the end, I find it very rewarding. I like working with other creative people in an environment that promotes individual, artistic expression as a path towards achieving the final creative goal. I like staring at the computer screen until I look up and it's ten o'clock at night, and I like waking up the next day knowing there is a project that needs my attention.

 

Good communication skills help me to coordinate between the clients, the creatives and the vendors. Organizing systems and streamlining processes come naturally to me. Decisive and pragmatic, I look at the project as a whole, and then evaluate the parts, paying attention to the details and striving for technical accuracy.

 

The Other Things

When I'm not staring into the computer screen, I will dabble in a little art that doesn't require using either a keyboard or a mouse. I really enjoy spending time in the kitchen, trying various recipes. I try to cook using only locally grown food during the summer. I bake a lot of pies, and even more cookies.

 

I am an avid gardener, and spend hours outside tending to my ornamental flowers and shrubs, and I enjoy birdwatching. I just started a blog for my own amusement, hoping to explore my creative writing talents. In the past I've spent time working with a theater group, producing, directing and acting. I also wrote, designed and maintained their website. It's just sort of parked there now, but hopefully we'll all get together and do a show again someday!
